Travel & Vlogs

Joshua Tree – The Vlog

Joshua Tree – The Vlog is a short video from our recent camping trip to Jumbo Rocks Campground in Joshua Tree National Park, CA.

If you’re interested in reading more about our adventure and the campground, check out TentTalk at TentTalkTime.com, where a full write-up of our trip with pictures and maps is posted.

Special thanks to The Perks, a small band out of Southern California, for the soundtrack, as well as Lowepro, who generously sent us their new Rover Pro 45L AW camera bag to use.

Havasupai – The Vlog

Havasupai – The Vlog is the video from our recent backpacking trip down to Havasupai Falls in the Havasupai Indian Reservation in Northern Arizona. Shot on a Canon 5DMrkIII and a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition (we also lost a GoPro Hero 2 beneath the falls, for all you treasure seekers!)

California Vacation – The Spring Break Vlog

A vlog video of my spring break vacation back to California. Featuring music by Pedestrian, a small band in Southern California. You can find more of their music here.

A Grand Canyon Winter Adventure – The Vlog

Official Selection of the Fear No Film Festival, 2013. A Grand Canyon Winter Adventure is a different kind of travel video, where our backpacking trip throughout the Grand Canyon is boiled down to the best of the best, set on a backdrop of student created music.

Our itinerary began with one night in the snow at Mather Campground on the South Rim. From there, we hiked down the Bright Angel Trail to stay at Indian Garden Campground on our second night, then continued down to the Colorado River and Bright Angel Campground for night three. Our last day consisted of a long slog up the South Kaibab trail, with the motivation of a Wendy’s triple cheeseburger driving us to top.

A Grand Canyon Winter Adventure is an Official Selection of the 2013 Fear No Film Festival at the Utah Arts Festival, and will be screened in the “Love” category of the festival, representing films that “…come from a place of love, what we do for love, and our treatment of the objects of our affection.”

The music is created by The Adnates, a small band out of Southern California. You can find both “On the Run, Flight” and “Where Hearts Lay” on their bandcamp at theadnates.bandcamp.com.
